podían ser tratadas mediante láser-IPL porque se producían quemaduras a nivel super?cial. Por el
contrario, si un pelo es canoso o rubio no capta la luz del láser-IPL y no puede ser calentado, con
lo que debe ser eliminado por medio de otros procedimientos.

¿Cómo se realiza el tratamiento de la depilación con láser-IPL?

La depilación mediante láser-IPL requiere de varias sesiones, que se han de realizar con un
intervalo variable dependiendo de la zona a tratar.
En general se recomienda que el intervalo entre sesiones sea de entre uno y tres meses, que es el
tiempo necesario para que la mayoría de los folículos pilosos que estaban en reposo entren en un
nuevo ciclo de crecimiento.

Antes de cada sesión de tratamiento se recomienda:

- No broncearse al sol o con lámparas ultravioletas durante las cuatro semanas anteriores al
tratamiento,
- No aplicarse productos de autobronceado en las cuatro semanas anteriores al tratamiento,
- No depilar las zonas a tratar mediante pinzas o cera,
- No emplear maquillaje el día del tratamiento en la zona a tratar,
- Afeitarse con una hojita de afeitar el pelo de la zona a depilar mediante láser-IPL en las 24
horas previas al tratamiento,
- En caso padecer herpes recidivante, advertirlo al médico para iniciar el tratamiento de
prevención.
- Si la piel padece Cloasma o tendencia a la hiperpigmentación, emplear un despigmentante local
que se aplicará durante las dos semanas previas al tratamiento.

¿Qué se debe hacer o evitar tras el tratamiento?

Se puede aplicar maquillaje sobre las zonas tratadas siempre y cuando no aparezcan ampollas
o vesículas que puedan infectarse. En este último caso deberá aplicarse una pomada o crema
antibiótica dos veces al día, hasta la resolución de la infección.
Se puede hacer vida normal, ejercicio físico, ducharse y lavar la zona tratada, aunque esto último
